A pair of Cu claims/prospect located in the center of sec. 34, T9N, R15E (Young 15 minute topo map), on/near Shell Mountain and about 1 mile W of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation boundary, on National Forest land. Owned by the Western Exp. Inc. of Texas (1945). The coordinates provided in the MRDS file are in obvious error. The stated longitude of 111°47'44" places the locality in Maricopa County, North of the greater Phoenix area. A value of 110°47'44" places the locality in the stated T&R quadrant.
Mineralization includes secondary copper minerals.
