A surface Cu claim/occurrence/prospect with underground workings located in the SW¼ sec. 32, T7S, R19E and in the S½ sec. 6, T8S, R19E (Oak Grove Canyon 7.5 minute topo map), 2 miles ENE of Copper Creek. Claims extend into secs. 6-8 and 31 & 32 of T7S, R19E. Owned by Mr. Eddie Lackner of Klondyke, AZ.
Mineralization is ore in stringers hosted in the Galiuro Volcanics Andesite. The ore zone strikes N70W and dips vertically. Dark purple, fine-grained vesicular porphyritic olivine andesite is the host rock. Copper minerals form films on wallrock and breccia. The ore zone strikes N70W and dips vertically. Ore control was a fracture zone in andesite.
Area structures include Tertiary block faulting trending NNW. Regional trends: minor Pre-Cretaceous E- and NE-trending folds and major Post-Cretaceous NNW-trending faults.
Workings include one shaft at 18.29 meters deep. Probably no production.
