Rügen, Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Deutschland
The mineral deposits of Rügen Island include glacial gravels that may be collected from one of the numerous gravel pits, as well as inclusions in cherts, such as flint and pyrite-marcasite nodules. The latter are well exposed at some places along the coast. It has to be noted, however, that a major part of the coastline belongs to a nature reserve, where collecting is strictly prohibited.
