Cirque de Cilaos, Piton des Neiges, Réunion Island

Cirque de Cileas is a caldera.
Locality is on the path from Cilaos village to Ilet à Cordes, upstream sector of Bras Rouge brook.

Laumontite is found along wallrocks of dykes and sills in oceanites.
Laumontite has been deposited through the action of Si-rich hydrothermal circulations accompanying the intrusion of quartz syenite sills.

Mordenite is found on Henri Dijoux ravine right slope, 1 km away from Chapelle de Cilaos, in breccias and altered dikes of oceanite.
