Ancient coal mine, parts of which were later used for training by the Saarberg company. During the 1970's, a thin lead-bearing vein was discovered in the mine. Such mineralisations are very rare in the Saar coal mines, unlike the Ruhr coal mines, where hydrothermally formed veins bearing copper and lead minerals were encountered very often in underlying rocks (Devonian schists) exposed on the lower levels.
Located SE of Ludweiler, in the angle of the roads leading to Klarenthal and Großrosseln.
