Basaltic lava flow, Valle Gran Rey, La Gomera, Santa Cruz de Tenerife Province, Canary Islands, Spain

Spinel peridotites (spinel dunites, dunite/wehrlite, spinel pyroxenites and olivine pyroxenites) xenoliths in alcaline basaltic lava, located NW of Valle Gran Rey.
These xenoliths are crosscut by a microvein network of glassy and cryptocrystalline material, with carbonate blebs.
These carbonate droplets represent a quenched liquid resulting from demixing of a carbonate-silicate melt.
