Pliocene fluorite deposit on the slope of Děčínský Sněžník hill (elevation 723 m) mined from 1955 to 1994. Infillings of faults and replacements bodies in Turonian sandstones, neogene faulted volcanic areas with recent springs of NaHCO3-rich waters.
The mine uncovered unique pseudokarst caves with the fluorite mineralization. It was established as the National monument “Jeskyně Pod Sněžníkem” by reason of the unusual alliance of the pseudokarst caves and the fluorite speleothems (Pokorný).
