Mineralization is carnotite in irregular tabular layers hosted in Late Jurassic claystone, siltstone and sandstone of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation. Ore is found in clusters, usually associated with carbonaceous detritus. Tyuyamunite-type ore occurs in thin discontinuous bands, pods and scattered lenses along sandstone-mudstone contacts in Salt Wash member, 30-40 feet above the Bluff Member contact. This Salt Wash block overlies an igneous mass. Local rocks include rocks of the Morrison Formation.
Workings include surface openings comprised of a 20 x 10 x 6 foot deep rim cut, heading NE-SW along the mineralized outcrop.
Production was 6 tons of ore @ 0.21% U3O8; 1.81% V2O5 (1985).
