Mineralization is tyuyamunite in irregular, tabular layers hosted in Late Jurassic claystone, siltstone and sandstone of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation on the NE limb of the Toh Atin anticline. Ore is found in clusters, usually associated with carbonaceous detritus. Tyuyamunite-type ore occurs at mudstone-sandstone bedding plane interfaces, in sedimentary structures, and with carbon matter pockets - basal Salt Wash Member. Local rocks include Quaternary surficial deposits, undivided.

Workings include surface openings comprised of an open pit at 300 x 300 x 10 foot deep pit.

Production was 926 tons @ 0.51% U3O8; 0.91% V2O5 (1955).
