Small cirque on the northern side of the Punta Rasciassa, Po Valley.
Jadeitite boudin, associated with gabbroic rocks in serpentinized lherzolite (Monviso meta-ophiolite).
The jadeitite formed at the expense of a basalt dyke, intrusive in the upper mantle, through a metasomatic process linked with the serpentinization of the peridotite.
