A former placer Cr-Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 29, T7N, R10E, MDM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) NNW of Rocky Point (coordinates of record) (short distance N of the Wait Mine). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Locality is the gold gravel mine on folio 63.

Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface openings.

About 10 tons of ore containing 38% chromic oxide were shipped during WWI.
