A reported placer Au gravel deposit located in sec. 29, T6N, R12E, MDM, 3.3 km (2.1 miles) E of Jackson Butte (coordinates of record). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
