A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 21 (gravels in parts of secs. 16-22, 26, 27 & 35), T18N, R5E, MDM, 1.8 (6,000 feet) NNW of Bangor, along Whitehall Ravine. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters.

Mineralization is auriferous gravels. Local rocks include Eocene nonmarine rocks, unit 1 (Northern and Central California).
