A former Au-Ag mine located in sec. 31, T10N, R21E, MDM, 1.5 km (4,900 feet) S of Mogul Peak, on the divide between Smiths Creek and Eagle Gulch, NW of Colorado Hill, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
