A former lode Au mine located in sec. 18, T2N, R12E, MDM, 2.0 km (1.2 miles) ESE of Felix, on/near the McCarty Ranch (1½ miles S of Carmen City). Last operated during the period September to November, 1935. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a flat vein system hosted in rocks of the Amador Group (amphibolite, schist and slate). The ore body has a length of 45.72 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface openings comprised of an open cut.

Production data are found in: Logan, Clarence August and Franke, H. (1936).

Picked ore was said to have milled $8 (period values) per ton. No production record found.
