A former lode Au mine located near the center of the section (estimated) sec. 8, T4N, R13E, MDM, 2.8 km (1.7 miles) SW of Mountain Ranch, along the North Fork Willow Creek. Operated prior to, and during, the period 1889 to 1893. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in mica schist. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 30.48 meters and comprised of a 100 foot shaft.
