A former lode Au mine located in sec. 20, T3N, R11E, MDM, 4.0 km (2.5 miles) WNW of Lost City and 0.7 km (0.4 mile) SE of Siberia (summit) (coordinates of record) (½ mile E of Slate Creek; 1¾ miles NE of the old McCormic Reservoir). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips NE. The vein is 6 feet thick). Sulfides are present. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 18.29 meters comprised of a 60 foot deep shaft.
