A former lode Au mine located in sec. 35, T7N, R13E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) NW of Bummerville and 1.9 km (1.2 miles) NW of West Point, E of the S end of Skull Flat (between Motts Gulch (not named on the topo map) and Skull Flat Gulch). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
