A former placer Au-Ag occurrence/drift mine located in sec. 22, T5N, R10E, MDM, 3.8 km (2.4 miles) NNW of Camp Pardee, NE of Waters Peak, on the shore of the Pardee Reservoir, S of the Pardee Reservoir Recreation Area. Operated during the period 1940-1941 (throughout 1940 and continued into 1941). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. May be the Fourth of July claim in sec. 34, this township.
Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Production statistics: Year: 1940 (1940-1941): Material: Gravel; 4,464 cubic yards mined, yielding 321 ounces (9,984 grams) Au and 44 ounces (1,369 grams) Ag.
