A former lode Au-Cu mine located in the NE¼NW¼ sec. 4, T3N, R12E, MDM, 2.3 km (1.4 mile) SE of Kentucky House and 2.6 km (1.6 miles) NW of Fourth Crossing, along the South Fork Calaveras River. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in serpentinite and schist. The vein varies in thickness from 12 inches (30 cm) to 20 inches (50 cm). Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 crosscut adits to the E and drifts plus a 105 foot inclined shaft.
