Igneous intrusive deposit - granite pegmatite veins in granite. The granite pegmatites vary is size from a few cm to several meters. The pegmatite-bearing rock is found in piles of granite pieces located around the quarry in various dump piles. Pegmatite textures and cavities are unsuitable for ornamental and building purposes and the interesting minerals are located in cavities and vugs in the granite. (Located on Grant Hill Road near village of Hall Quarry on Mount Desert Island.)
