A former lode Au mine located in the NE¼ sec. 11, T3N, R14E, MDM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles) SW of Stanislaus, N of Yea Hoo Gulch on the E slope of Table Mountain (3½ miles E of Murphys). Operated many years ago and prospected in 1936 per Clark & Lydon (1962). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Kerr (1900) presents a T&R value of sec. 12.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate, mica schist and some quartzite. The ore body strikes W and dips 40N. There are 2 parallel veins at 3 feet thick each. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 25.91 meters, and comprised of an 85 foot shaft and a 225 foot adit, both caved, plus open cuts.
