A former Cu mine located in sec. 26, T2N, R12E, MDM, 2.3 km (1.4 miles) NE of Copperopolis, along Black Creek, E of the southern segment of Big Seven Ridge. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
NOTE: The possibility that this locality is synonymous with the Big Seven Mine was considered. Each of these localities has 2 discrete USGS MRDS files and each set of files contains unique data which are consistent with the pair but differ from the pair for the other locality. They also have different MAS-MILS file numbers and sets of references. Both are located E of Big Seven Ridge, which is a long feature.

Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
