A former lode Au mine located in secs. 19, 20 & 30, T6N, R13E, MDM, 0.3 km (0.2 mile SE of Glencoe) (7 miles NE of Mokelumne Hill [town]). Operated in the 1880's and prospected in the 1930's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. The Richview is located in sec. 30; the Valentine in the N½ sec. 19; the other claims are in the W½ sec. 20.

Mineralization is a vein & pockets deposit hosted in mica schist and slate. The vein on the Valentine is 75 feet thick. That on the Mexican claim is 3 feet thick and strikes N in qwuartz-mica schist and slate. The veins are low-grade and the pockets are rich. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 350 crosscut tunnel and a 150 foot drift on the Valentine claim and a 1,800 foot drift on the Mexican vein.
