A Au occurrence located in secs. 8 & 17, T3N, R14E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) SW of Murphys. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a placer Au deposit hosted in auriferous gravels. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
