A former Hg mine located in the NW¼ (NE¼ ?) sec. 2, and in the NW¼ sec. 3, T19S, R13E, MDM, 1.3 km (4,300 feet) NE of Archer Camp, and about 16 miles NW of Coalinga, near White Creek and the New Idria Mine, and near the San Benito County line. Discovered in 1905. Produced during the periods 1951-1956 & 1960-1961. Owned by Ed Pales and Robert Stoker. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in sedimentary rocks (the Panoche Upper Cretaceous sandstone and shale) and in the New Idria Late Jurassic serpentinite body. The ore body is lenticular in form. The ore is found in a 1 to 15 foot thick shear zone. Controls for ore emplacement include local faulting trending NE and dipping SE. Local alteration includes induration of Panoche sediments. Silica-carbonate rock is not important in this mine. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).

Local structures include the Panoche-serpentinite contact.

Workings include unspecified surface openings with a length of 609.6 meters.

Production data are found in: U.S. Bureau of Mines file data.

Production statistics: Year: 1960 (period through 1960): ^10-20 pounds Hg/ton (6776 grams/metric ton).

Ore reserves probably small.
