A former asbestos mine located near the southern tip of the New Idria serpentine mass, NW of Coalinga.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Berger unit (serpentinite).

Local structures include the NW-trending Coalinga Anticline and the New Idria thrust fault.

Related tectonic structures include the California Coast Ranges.
