A former Cu mine located in sec. 33, T11S, R21E, MDM, 6.7 km (4.1 miles) SSE of Friant. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein 4 to 7 feet thick, hosted in diabase, amphibolite and schist. The ore body is 2.13 meters thick and 228.6 meters long. Gossan croppings are 1 to 20 feet wide. Vein matter is metadiabase changing in some places to talcose schist. Some rich ore enclosed in talc. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 33.53 meters and comprised of 1 shaft 110 feet deep, and an inclined shaft 80 feet deep. The shaft has drifts and crosscuts totaling 160 feet, another shaft has been sunk 50 feet in carbonates. An open cut is 6 to 7 feet deep. Drifts extend both E and W for 45 feet from the 1st. shaft.
Production information: Several hundred tons of Cu ore were shipped.
