A former Mn mine/prospects (3) located in secs. 14, 23 & 24, T18N, R7W, MDM, 5.1 km (3.2 miles) SW of Sugarloaf Hill (coordinates of record), along an unnamed tributary of Black Diamond Creek, E of Black Diamond Ridge and N of Auk Auk Ridge, on National Forest land. Operated by A. W. Sehorn. Discovered 1900. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a lens of Mn ore. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a tunnel and stope.
Production information: Yielded about 100 tons of good ore in 1917.
