A Au mining area located on the eastern margin of the Salton Trough.
Mineralization is related to fractures and breccia. Plutonic rocks are present in the area.
Related tectonic structures include NE- & NW-striking thrust, normal, and strike slip faults of the Neogene San Andreas Fault System.
