An andesite deposit/quarry located in the SE¼ sec. 36, T15S, R9E, SBM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles) ESE of Carrizo Mountain (coordinates of record), and 9.0 km (5.6 miles) NNW of Coyote Wells. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Commodity was andesite for use as roofing granules.

NOTE: The geographic coordinates provided by MRDS file ID #10110673 for this locality are in error and placed it in San Diego County. The error was 1 degree of longitude (115° versus 116°), and was corrected accordingly.

Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 10 (Alverson) and/or Eocene nonmarine rocks, unit 2 (Southern California).
