From 1968, the lodes of Wheal Bounty were worked by Wheal Pendarves until its closure in the 1980s. Specimens obtained from Wheal Pendarves during its final working period are sometimes misleadingly labeled as coming from Wheal Bounty, although the mine did not connect to the old Wheal Bounty workings. Thus, they are more correctly described as coming from Wheal Bounty section, Wheal Pendarves.
