Ref.: Rocks & Min.:11:35; 62:302-308 & 75:309. A gold-silver mine located halfway up Bear Creek Canyon, on the northwest slopes of Engineer Mt., 2 air miles (3.2 km) SE of Ouray at 10,000 feet altitude (SE¼ of Sec. 9, T.43N., R.7W.). Started about 1875 and closed 1900; sporadic activity from 1900 to 1907. The Zanett haulage tunnel was driven in 1981 at the Zanett level from Ohio Park. Ore is quartz veins in andesite breccia.
