A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 30 & in the NE¼ sec. 31, T10N, R11E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.7 mile) E of Diamond Springs. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. The "Alice B" claim in sec. 31 adjoins the Chollar on the S but may not be part of the same group. Probably the same as the Manzanita Queen group listed on Pl. II of reference (Logan (1938)), although the area given on the plate (82 acres) and the reference page (62 acres) do not agree. Apparently part of the Griffith Consolidated group. Logan (1934) also lists the Patosi adjoining on the W - may, or may not, be part of the group.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
