A former Au occurrence/drift mine located in the NW¼ sec. 29, T10N, R12E, MDM, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) SSE of Newtown and 1.6 km (1.0 mile NW of Pleasant Valley, at Avinsino Corner, on private land. Discovered in 1927. Operated by Alida L. Avansino. Operated in the early 1930's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 48 foot shaft and a 200 foot drift.

After producing a few thousand dollars, the mine was leased to others who made good wages.
