A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 12, T8N, R10E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) SE of Nashville, along the W side of East Big Canyon Creek (on the divide between the North Fork Cosumnes River & East Big Canyon Creek), on private land. The property comprises 20 acres. Operated by Edith P. McCurdy. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
