A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 31, T10N, R11E, MDM, about 4.3 km (about 2½ miles) E of El Dorado, along Martinez Creek (1 mile SE of Diamond Springs), on private land. Operated during the period 1888 to 1890. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate and diorite. The ore body is 3.05 meters thick. The vein is 1 to 10 feet thick. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 350 foot adit and a 40 foot shaft.
