A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 32, T11N, R12E, MDM, 2.4 km (1.5 miles) NNE of Camino, N of Mount Danaher (2½ miles W of Pollock Pines). Operated around the period 1936 to 1938. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with ore shoots hosted in rocks of the Calaveras Formation. The ore body is 1.12 meters thick. The vein is 8 to 44 inches thick. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a shaft, probably less than 100 feet deep, a crosscut adit and 600 feet of drifts.
Production data are found in: Logan, Clarence August (1938) & Clark, Wm. B. & D.W. Carlson (1956).
A small amounty of Au was produced in 1936. Mill tests yielded $7 (period values) around 1938.
