A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 1 & W½ (and common corner with sec. 7 [sic]) sec. 12, T10N, R9E, and in 7, T10N, R10E, MDM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles) SSW of Four Corners (5 miles N of Shingle Springs). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10284528 presents the data regarding segments within the T&R sections. These segments do not make sense unless there is more than 1 location for this property. The SW¼ sec. 1 & the W½ sec. 12 are reasonable since section 12 is contiguous with sec. 1 to its S; sec. 7 is to the E of sec. 12 and shares a common side, not a common corner.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided and/or ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings.
