The lode is a quartz-filled fissure in limestone near a granite contact. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Mojave Desert and Death Valley area) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Local geologic structures include faults that strike NE and dip 45SE.

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 47.24 meters and comprised of a crosscut adit running NE for 450 feet, a vertical 155 foot shaft and a drift 150 feet SE of the vein NW for 200 feet.
