A placer Au prospect located in secs. 19, 30 & 31, T5S, R36E, MDM, 1.4 km (4,600 feet) S of Iron Mountain and ESE of Sage Hen Peak (minor summit), along the Crooked Creek (NE of) (12 miles NW of Deep Springs Ranch on the western slope of the White Mountains. This may be in secs. 24, 25, 36, of T5S/R35E), on National Forest land (located claim). Property consisted of claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, & 13. Owned by the Potaro Mining Co. and the White Mountain Gold Co. (partnership); and/or Gladys Beauregard, Bishop, California (1980). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is 2 miles of N-S channel locations which extend N from Crooked Creek to Cottonwood Creek, along the W side of Iron Peak. Width of the channel is 400 to 600 feet. The rim rock is granite, capped with basalt and andesite. The gravel, consisting of slate, quartzite, granite and quartz, shows of the ridges 500 feet above the creek. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of short tunnels and shallow shafts driven at various elevations above both N and S of Crooked Creek. Gravel from all these workings pan colors from 2 (?) to 5 (?) in size (unit of measurement not disclosed - probably mm's).
