A Au occurrence located in sec. 21, T6S, R20E, MDM, 1.7 km (1.1 miles) E of Indian Peak (coordinates of record), along the East Fork Chowchilla River, on the Madera County line (½ mile S of Nelson Cove). Located during May, 1914. The property consisted of 3 unpatented claims. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. The only assessment work was done in the 1920's. The topo map shows a prospect in the SE¼NE¼ in Madera County.
NOTE: Both MRDS files present erroneous values for the Longitude of this locality. The value presented is 117°47'35"W. That value places this locality in the Sylvania Mountains on the Nevada state line, Inyo County. All other data presented support a location in sec. 21, T6S, R20E, MDM, in Mariposa County. Research of the coordinates for the center of that T&R section revealed that the correct longitude value should be 119°47'35"W.
