Unnamed Travertine prospect [1], Shadow Mountain, Resting Spring Range, Inyo Co., California, USA

A travertine deposit/prospect located in sec. 24, T24N, R6E, SBM, 7.4 km (4.6 miles) SSW of Shadow Mountain (coordinates of record), and 6.6 km (4.1 miles) NNE of Evelyn (Amargosa Valley), on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Resting Springs Range Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is travertine at least 6 inches thick that has been deposited over hundreds of feet. Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
