A gold occurrence/mine with underground workings located less than a mile WSW of Cherry.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with pinch and swell orebody(ies). The vein strikes N.15ºW. and dips 55ºW.; the average width is 18 inches (45 cm). The vein wedges out at the face of the drift SW of the shaft, and the gold content and the dip of the vein are reported to decrease with depth. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. No alteration was noted. An associated rock unit was the Cherry Creek Quartz Diorite (informal).
Area structures were limited to unfoliated quartz diorite.
Workings include an inclined shaft of unknown depth. About the 65 level short drifts connect to the shaft.
