Wardell occurrence, Ophir Mountain, Darwin District, Darwin Hills, Inyo Co., California, USA

A Cu occurrence located in T19S, R40E, MDM, about 4.1 km (2.6 miles) WSW of Ophir Mountain (coordinates of record), and 4.9 km (3.1 miles) WNW of Darwin, on the far eastern margin of the Darwin Hills. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic).

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
