A former placer Au-Ag occurrence/mine located in sec. 19, T26S, R33E, MDM, 4.6 km (2.8 miles) NE of Keyesville, along the W shore of Isabella Lake (reservoir), just N of the mouth of French Gulch and the main dam. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
