рудник Септември, Маданско рудно поле, Родопи планина, Смолянска област, България

In Bulgaria “mine” usually uses in exploration-administrative term and not always coincides with the name of the ore deposit. Concerning to this case, Septemvri mine includes the following deposits: Sharenka, Baram, Mogilata, Osikovo and Pechinsko.

It is important to be known that there was a change in the name of this mine:
- from the beginning of exploration at 1953 to 1989 the name was Deveti Septemvri mine (9th of September mine in English)
- from 1989 till now – Septemvri mine (September mine in English).

NOTE: Most of the hollow galena crystals from here seem to be fakes, see http://www.mindat.org/article.php/977/Exploration+of+the+Hollowed+Galenas.
