A placer & lode Au occurrence located in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 30, T29N, R12E, MDM, 8.4 km (5.2 miles) SSW of Susanville. Located S of the Earl, Honey Bee & Clark properties. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Little lode mining was done on this property, except that several surface pits have been sunk on supposed vein matter. Production in the past was confined to placer mining. Geologic conditions here are less favorable for the development of lode gold deposits.
