A stone (crushed/broken) deposit located in secs. 16 & 36, T31N, R6E, MDM, 0.7 km (2,200 feet) W of Cinder Cone, on National Park and National Wilderness land. A cinder cone is located in the W½ sec. 16, and a red cinder cone in the SW¼ sec. 36, making this a combined file for several actual sites. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
NOTE: The geographic coordinates provided place this locality in Shasta County; however, the stated accuracy is only 1,000 meters, which could place it in Lassen County.
Local rocks include Quaternary volcanic flow rocks, unit 1 (Cascade Volcanic Field).
