A pumice occurrence/mine located in sec. 11, T22N, R17E, MDM, 6.0 km (3.7 miles) S of Red Rock locale. Owned and operated by Lassenite Industries Inc, 1475 Terminal Way, Reno, NV (1981). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits.
NOTE: No mention is made of smoky quartz occurring in this location, other than the dealer labels for the specimens illustrated in the photos of smoky quartz attributed to this locality. The locality may be in error. They are most probably from the nearby quartz localities (Crystal Hill deposits / Crystal Tips pits [especially Crystal Tips pit #2, which is called Hallelujah Junction pit by collectors]).
